Leadership Tulsa is an independent 501(c)3, non-profit organization with a more than 30-year history of providing community leadership development programs.  Leadership Tulsa began as a joint venture of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce and the Junior League of Tulsa.  It grew rapidly so in 1973 it was incorporated as an independent 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.   It is now an agency of over 1800 members strong, with a deep committment to Tulsa and a far-reaching impact in the community.  Our members serve on over 250 area boards and volunteer for about 240 different area agencies and businesses.  Over half of our members volunteer more than 20 hours a year, on a regular basis. 

Our Mission is to identify, develop and connect diverse leaders who impact the community through service. 

Participation in Leadership Tulsa programs provides:

• A realization of potential on a personal, professional and community level
• Discovery and a building of leadership and organizational strengths
• Exploration of the systems and needs of Tulsa
• Discussions on a wide range of issues
• Development of skills and techniques that help make a positive impact in the community

Funding for Leadership Tulsa comes primarily from participant tuitions and membership dues with additional support from corporate and foundation sponsorships.  Each year the Leadership Tulsa Board of Directors awards substantial scholarships to deserving participants from every sector of the community.
